Overview

Logo Maker takes you from a business idea to a downloadable brand kit in one flow: describe your business, generate logo concepts, pick one, refine it in a full design editor, then export it in every format you need.

How the app fits together

Wizard → pick a concept → editor → export.

You start in the Wizard, which asks a few quick questions and generates a batch of complete logo concepts. You pick one (or ask for variations of it), then it opens in the full Editor, where every element — icon, text, colors, layout — stays fully editable. From the Editor you can export your logo in dozens of formats, turn it into real branded products (business cards, apparel, mugs…), and track every version you save.

Your account & access

Signs you in through BMS — no separate Logo Maker login.

Logo Maker is one app inside the BMS platform. You reach it already signed in through BMS's shared login — there is no separate Logo Maker password. Whether you see admin-only pages (Packages, Photo Mockups) depends on your BMS role, and whether mockup downloads carry a watermark depends on whether your account is on a premium plan.

The Wizard

A five-step flow that turns a business description into a batch of ready-made logo concepts, ranked by design quality.

Step 1 — Business type

Search or type your industry to bias every later suggestion.

A searchable list of 60 curated business types across 13 industries (Food & Beverage, Tech & Digital, Professional Services, and so on) — or type your own if yours isn't listed. This choice quietly steers which icons, fonts, and color palettes the generator favors later, since each is tagged by industry relevance.

Example

You're opening a coffee shop: typing "cafe" or picking "Cafe / Coffee Shop" from the list nudges the generator toward warm, food-and-beverage-appropriate icons and palettes instead of generic tech-startup blues.

How to use it
  1. 1Open the Wizard from "+ Create a logo" on your dashboard.
  2. 2Type to search the business type list, or type a custom one if yours isn't there.
  3. 3Select it and click Continue.

Step 2 — Vibe

Pick one or more moods from 14 tags to steer style.

Choose as many of the 14 vibe tags as fit — Modern, Playful, Luxury, Minimal, Bold, Vintage, Tech, and more. Picking several is fine and expected; the generator biases icon, font, and color choices toward all of them at once rather than requiring one single mood.

Example

A boutique fitness studio might pick both "Dynamic" and "Bold" to get energetic, high-contrast concepts rather than the softer, minimal look a spa business might choose instead.

How to use it
  1. 1Tap every vibe tag that fits your brand (multiple selection is fine).
  2. 2Click Continue once at least one is selected.

Step 3 — Business name

The text that appears in the logo, with quick-pick suggestions.

Type the name you want in your logo — almost always your business name. If you're not sure yet, six generated suggestion chips (built from your business type) are offered as one-click starting points, and you can always change the text later in the editor.

How to use it
  1. 1Type your business name, or tap one of the six suggestion chips.
  2. 2Optionally try "Get AI name suggestions" (see note below).
  3. 3Click Continue.

"Get AI name suggestions" and "Get AI tagline suggestions" are live links in the UI, but the AI text service behind them isn't connected yet — clicking currently reports the feature as unavailable rather than returning suggestions. The chip-based suggestions above it work today; AI-generated ones are coming later.

Step 4 — Tagline

An optional slogan under your name.

An optional short slogan or tagline. It's entirely optional — skip it and add or change it later in the editor — and clicking Continue here is what actually triggers logo generation.

How to use it
  1. 1Type a tagline, or leave it blank.
  2. 2Click "Generate my logos" to move to Step 5 and start generation.

Step 5 — Choose your logo

A ranked grid of generated concepts, with a design-quality score.

A grid of fully generated logo concepts (real vector layouts, not previews of one template) — each carries a 0–100 design score with a breakdown across three signals: small-size legibility (how it reads at favicon size), visual balance (how centered the visual weight is), and whitespace (not cramped, not empty). Options are sorted strongest-first.

Example

Two concepts might look similar at a glance, but one scores much higher on "small-size legibility" — that's the one that will still read clearly as a 32px browser-tab favicon or an app icon, which the other might not.

How to use it
  1. 1Browse the grid; click any option to select it — its score breakdown and a live thumbnail appear in the sticky right-hand summary card.
  2. 2Optionally click "✨ More like this" to generate variations of the selected concept (same idea, one axis — font, palette, asset, or layout — varied each time); these appear grouped at the top and can be cleared.
  3. 3Review live product previews (business card, mug, t-shirt…) updating in the side panel as you change your selection, or click "Preview mockups →" for the full gallery.
  4. 4Click "Design Your Logo" to create the logo and open it in the full editor.

Brand Maker

Before — or after — you commit to the plain logo editor, you can see your concept applied to real products, and turn it directly into a ready-to-edit business card, t-shirt, mug, or eight other product types.

Mockup preview gallery

See your chosen concept on business cards, apparel, mugs and more.

A gallery of flat product mockups (business card, mug, t-shirt, app icon, storefront sign, tote bag, and more) rendered live with your selected logo, reachable from Step 5 of the wizard via "Preview mockups →". This is a quick visual sanity check — "does this actually look good on a shirt?" — before you commit to customizing it.

How to use it
  1. 1From the "Choose your logo" step, click "Preview mockups →" (or a mockup tile in the side panel).
  2. 2Browse the gallery. Click "Design Your Logo" at any time to open the plain editor instead.

Brand Maker: turn your logo into a real product design

10 product types, each with pre-designed, fully-editable starting layouts.

From the mockup gallery, "Get Started" under the Brand Maker card turns the same product tiles into a picker: Business Card, App Icon, Notepad, Pen, T-Shirt, Mug, Folder, Letterhead, Tote Bag, and Storefront Sign. Picking one creates a new saved item seeded from a ready-made layout for that product (your logo mark, name, and a placeholder tagline field already placed) and opens it in the same full editor used for plain logos — nothing about the product type restricts what you can edit.

Example

You've settled on a logo and now need an actual letterhead for client-facing documents. Instead of designing one from scratch, Brand Maker seeds a real letterhead layout — sized correctly, with your logo already placed — that you then adjust in the editor.

How to use it
  1. 1On the mockup preview screen, click "Get Started" on the Brand Maker card.
  2. 2Click any product tile (now acting as a picker rather than a preview).
  3. 3The editor opens, pre-loaded with a starting layout for that product.

Business cards: front & back

Two linked designs, switchable from the editor toolbar.

A business card is the one product with two sides. Choosing it creates two linked saved items (front and back), and the editor toolbar shows a Front/Back switch to move between them. Changing the template variant on one side automatically keeps the other side in matching layout and orientation.

How to use it
  1. 1Pick "Business Card" from the Brand Maker picker — this creates both sides at once.
  2. 2Use the Front / Back toggle in the top-left of the editor toolbar to switch sides.
  3. 3Edit each side independently; template switches stay in sync between the two.

Editor Basics

The full design editor — canvas, selection, keyboard shortcuts, and the always-on floating toolbar for the element you have selected.

Selecting, moving & resizing elements

Click to select, drag to move, corner-drag to resize — with smart alignment guides.

Click any element to select it; drag to reposition. As you drag, Figma/Canva-style alignment guides snap the element to the canvas center and to other elements automatically. A floating toolbar appears above the selected element with quick controls for that element type.

Floating toolbar: resize, opacity, effects

Contextual controls that follow your selection — stroke, proportion lock, shadow, glow, blur.

Whichever element is selected gets a small toolbar pinned just above it, with popovers for: Stroke (outline color and width), a proportion lock/unlock toggle (locked = resize from corners only, keeping aspect ratio; unlocked = free stretch from any edge), Resize (a percentage slider), Opacity, and Effects (drop shadow, glow, or blur — one shadow/glow at a time, each with its own color, blur, and offset controls). Text elements additionally get curve, flip, and rotate controls here.

Example

You want your icon to visually "pop" off the page — enable Drop Shadow from the Effects popover and adjust its blur and offset until it reads as a subtle lift rather than a heavy shadow.

Keyboard shortcuts

Standard editor shortcuts for nudging, duplicating, undo/redo, and save.

Arrow keys nudge the selected element by 1px (hold Shift for 10px); Delete/Backspace removes it; ⌘/Ctrl+C, X, V copy, cut, and paste (pastes offset so you can see the new copy); ⌘/Ctrl+D duplicates directly; ⌘/Ctrl+Z undoes and ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+Z (or ⌘/Ctrl+Y) redoes; ⌘/Ctrl+S saves immediately; Escape deselects. Shortcuts are automatically disabled while you're typing in a text field, including inline text editing on the canvas itself.

Undo, redo & autosave

Up to 20 undo steps, and your work saves itself as you go.

Every meaningful edit is a step you can undo (up to the last 20), with rapid same-kind edits — like dragging a color picker — coalesced into a single step rather than one per pixel of movement. Changes autosave about 1.2 seconds after you stop editing; the toolbar shows "Saving…", "Unsaved", or "Saved" so you always know your status, and you can also press ⌘/Ctrl+S or click Save to save immediately.

Design Panels

The left-hand tool rail: everything you can add to or change about your design, one panel per tool.

Templates

Switch to a different generated layout, or a different product layout.

For a plain logo, shows the batch of concepts generated by the wizard (or lets you generate a fresh batch from your current name/tagline) — clicking one replaces your current canvas entirely. For a Brand Maker product, shows that product's own layout variants instead, plus a Photo Mockups tab where relevant (see below).

Switching templates replaces your whole canvas — any manual adjustments you've made are lost unless you undo.

Palette

40 curated color palettes, built from real color theory.

A library of 40 hand-curated palettes spanning three registers — Crisp (saturated, eye-catching), Balanced, and Soft (lighter, muted) — each generated from genuine complementary, analogous, triadic, or monochrome color relationships rather than arbitrary picks. Applying one recolors your logo's vector elements and text; on a plain (non-product) page it also recolors the flat background. On a Brand Maker product page with real product artwork (a t-shirt, mug, etc.), the product's own color stays untouched — that's a separate control (see Background / Product Color below).

Example

You like your logo's layout but the colors feel flat — browse the Balanced palettes for something more grounded, or Crisp for something punchier, without touching the layout at all.

Text

Add headings, subheadings, or body text; then style what you add.

Adds a new text box (heading, subheading, or body — each with a sensible starting size and weight). Select any text element to reveal its full settings: content, font family (32 Google Fonts), weight, size, color (or a two-color split within one line of text), letter spacing, alignment, and curved text along an adjustable-radius arc.

How to use it
  1. 1Click a text panel button (heading/subheading/body) to add it to the canvas.
  2. 2Select it, then use the right-hand inspector to set font, size, color, spacing and alignment.
  3. 3Toggle "Curve text" and drag the radius slider to bend it along an arc.

Symbol, Icon & Shapes

A shared library of 328 vector assets — 166 icons, 140 symbols, 22 shapes.

Three panels, one underlying library, filtered by type and browsable by category. Clicking any asset adds it to your canvas as a fully recolorable vector element. Once added, use the right-hand inspector to set its color, opacity, rotation, and — for shapes — an optional stroke outline with its own color and width.

Example

A veterinary clinic logo needs a paw-print mark — search the Symbol or Icon panel's Pets & Animals category rather than uploading outside artwork, and it recolors automatically to match your applied palette.

Image

Upload your own artwork into the design.

Uploads a custom image file and adds it to the canvas. Once added, the inspector lets you adjust opacity and rotation, or swap in a different image entirely without re-adding it from scratch.

Background / Product Color

Solid color, palette quick-picks, or a custom image — or, for real products, the product's own color.

On a plain logo page: set a solid background color (with quick-pick swatches pulled from the palette library), or upload a custom background image. On a Brand Maker page with real rendered product artwork (a t-shirt, mug, tote bag…), this panel switches to a Product Color control instead — recoloring the actual garment or object behind your logo, independent of your logo's own palette.

Settings

Grid, alignment guides, print bleed lines, print color check, and standard print sizes.

Toggles a checkered alignment grid and snap guides; on print-oriented products (business card, letterhead, folder, notepad) also shows standard bleed & safety guide lines and lets you switch between real standard paper/card sizes for that product — the page and every export genuinely resize to match, not just a label change. This panel also houses the Print Color Check tool.

Print color check (CMYK)

Flags on-screen colors that will shift noticeably when printed.

Screens display RGB; printers use CMYK, a smaller range that can't reproduce some very bright or saturated colors. This tool scans every color in your design, flags ones that will shift on press with a before/after swatch, the CMYK breakdown, and a ΔE (color-difference) severity rating, and offers a one-click "Use print-safe [color]" button that replaces that color everywhere it appears (fill, stroke, split-text color, background).

Example

You picked a neon pink for your logo mark. The check flags it as a "major" shift and shows the duller pink it will actually print as — letting you swap to the print-safe version before you order 500 business cards.

Version History

Automatic snapshots plus manual save points, so you can always step back to an earlier state of your design.

Autosave snapshots & manual pins

Snapshots roughly every 10 minutes (last 30 kept); labeled ones kept forever.

In addition to the editor's in-session undo/redo, the app periodically saves full version snapshots as you work — the most recent 30 are kept. At any point you can also save a labeled snapshot on demand ("Save snapshot"), which is kept indefinitely rather than aging out. Open the drawer from the toolbar's History button.

How to use it
  1. 1Click "History" in the editor toolbar.
  2. 2Optionally type a label and click "Save snapshot" to pin the current state.
  3. 3Browse past versions, each with a thumbnail and relative timestamp.
  4. 4Click Restore to load a version back into the editor (this is itself undoable and creates a new version), Compare to see it side-by-side with your current design, or Delete to remove it.

Compare Side by Side

Put your current design next to a past version, a variant, a generated option, or another one of your logos entirely.

Side-by-side comparison

Compare against versions, variants, other generated options, or other saved logos.

Opens a two-pane view: your current design on the left, and anything you pick on the right — a saved version, a logo variant (reversed, black, white…), one of the wizard's other generated options, or a completely different logo in your account. Choose a backdrop (as-designed, white, dark, or a busy photo-style background) to test contrast, and toggle "Small size test" to see how both hold up shrunk down.

Example

Before committing to a restore from Version History, use Compare to see the old version next to what you have now — confirming it's actually the change you meant to undo.

Brand Kit & Exports

Every format a real brand needs to launch — from a quick PNG to a print-ready, CMYK-aware PDF.

Logo variants

7 ready-made versions: primary, reversed, black, white, grayscale, icon-only, wordmark-only.

Automatically derives the full set of versions a brand kit typically needs from your current design: the full-color Primary, a Reversed version (for the opposite background tone), one-color Black and White versions (for stamps, engraving, or use over photos), a Grayscale version, and — where your logo has a separate mark and name — Icon-only and Wordmark-only versions. Download any one as PNG or SVG, download the whole set as a ZIP, or send a variant straight back into the editor as your working design.

Example

A print vendor asks for a one-color black version for laser engraving on a pen. Instead of manually recoloring everything, open Logo Variants and download the Black version directly.

Favicon & app icons

A ready-to-deploy icon pack: favicon.ico, PNG sizes, and a web manifest.

Builds a complete icon pack sized for browser tabs and home-screen icons — with a live preview at 16, 32, 64, and 128px (including a mock browser-tab preview) so you can see exactly how small your mark reads before downloading. Choose icon-only or full-logo as the source, a transparent or solid background (iOS icons need a solid background, since it ignores transparency), and padding. Downloads as a ZIP containing a multi-resolution favicon.ico, a site.webmanifest, and a README with the exact HTML snippet to drop into your site's <head>.

Vector & print export (SVG / PDF)

Infinitely scalable SVG, or a CMYK-aware print PDF at a real physical size.

SVG export is fully vector (opens cleanly in Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, and every browser), with options for a transparent background and embedded Google Font references so text renders correctly outside the app. PDF export is built for actual print production at 300 DPI, sized to a genuine physical width you choose (30mm up to a 1000mm banner) with adjustable margin — not just a pixel export relabeled as a PDF. If any color in your design isn't print-safe, a warning banner points you to the Print Color Check tool before you export.

Brand guidelines PDF

A one-click summary PDF of your logo, colors, and usage.

From the toolbar's Brand Kit menu, generates a shareable PDF summarizing your brand — useful for handing to a printer, agency, or teammate without walking them through the editor.

How to use it
  1. 1In the editor toolbar, open the Brand Kit dropdown.
  2. 2Click "Brand guidelines (PDF)" and wait for it to build — it downloads automatically.

Marketing & Social

Formats built for where a logo actually gets used day-to-day: social profiles, seasonal campaigns, and video intros.

Social media sizes

Exact pixel dimensions for 8 platforms — no cropping guesswork.

Pre-sized exports for Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and WhatsApp — profile pictures, covers, and post formats, each at the exact pixel dimensions that platform expects. A live preview (with a crop guide) shows exactly what you'll get before downloading. Choose your logo's own background, white, black, or transparent; download one size, every size for the selected platform, or a ZIP of literally everything.

Seasonal & occasion versions

Ready-made holiday, seasonal, and campaign versions of your logo.

A searchable, filterable gallery of themed versions of your current logo — recolored, decorated, and captioned for specific seasons and occasions. Download any one directly as PNG/SVG, or save it as its own separate logo in your account to fine-tune further in the editor (it won't overwrite your original).

Example

Around the winter holidays, generate a festive version of your logo for a limited-time social post — without touching or risking your main brand logo.

Reveal animation (video)

A short animated intro of your logo, exported as video.

Turns your logo into a short animated opener — 6 style presets (Fade & rise, Pop, Slide in, Wipe, Zoom out, Letter by letter), adjustable 1–5 second duration, choice of background (including transparent, WebM alpha for compositing over other video), and export size up to 1920px. Scrub and replay the preview live before exporting, and export either a single poster-frame PNG or the full animation as a WebM video.

Example

You need a 2-second logo sting to open a product demo video — pick "Zoom out" for a cinematic feel, set a transparent background, and export at 1080px to composite into your video editor.

3D Preview

See your logo realistically wrapped onto a real 3D object — currently available for mugs, pens, and business cards.

Interactive 3D product preview

Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom; business cards can flip to show the back.

Renders your current design onto a real, lit 3D model — a mug, a pen, or a business card (which you can flip to see the linked back side) — using an interactive scene you can orbit and zoom. It stays in sync with your edits, refreshing automatically a moment after you change something, or on demand with the Refresh button. Download a snapshot of the current 3D view as a PNG.

Only available for these three product types today; every other product (t-shirt, tote bag, storefront sign, and the rest) stays a flat 2D mockup rather than a 3D render.

Photo Mockups

Your logo composited onto real product photography — not an illustration, an actual photo.

Real photo mockups

Premium

Perspective-warped onto real photos of t-shirts, mugs, and tote bags, live as you edit.

Where available for the current product, the Templates panel's Photo Mockups tab shows real product photography with your logo perspective-warped onto the actual surface — updating live as you edit your design. Pick a photo, preview it, and download the composited PNG.

Non-premium accounts get a watermarked download unless that specific photo (or its whole category) has been marked free by an admin. The preview always shows exactly what you'll get, watermark included, so there's no surprise at download time.

Similarity Check

Checks a design against your own other saved logos so two brands in your account don't end up looking like twins.

Compare against your other logos

Scores similarity across mark, color, typeface, composition, and name.

Runs your current design against every other logo saved in your account and returns a verdict — Distinct, Similar, or Duplicate — plus, for any close match, a similarity score, a signal-by-signal breakdown, and plain-language reasons why they read as alike. From a match you can jump straight to the other logo, or get a quick suggestion for how to differentiate (usually: try a different palette, typeface, or symbol).

Example

You manage logos for several client brands in one account. Before finalizing a new one, run Similarity Check to make sure it doesn't accidentally echo an existing client's mark.

Send to BStudio

Hand your finished brand — logo, colors, and fonts — directly to BStudio, a sibling BMS app, without manually re-uploading anything.

Brand kit handoff

One click sends your logo, palette, and fonts to BStudio as a ready-made brand kit.

From the toolbar's Brand Kit menu, "Send to BStudio" saves your current design, packages your logo along with its derived color palette and fonts, and opens BStudio in a new tab with everything pre-imported. The reverse also works: BStudio can open a "pick a logo" popup pointed at Logo Maker, letting you choose any of your saved logos to import there instead.

How to use it
  1. 1In the editor toolbar, open the Brand Kit dropdown.
  2. 2Click "Send to BStudio →".
  3. 3A new tab opens in BStudio with your logo, colors, and fonts already imported.

Hire a Designer

For when you'd rather have a human take it from here.

Request a designer

A short form that sends your request to a real person — no design skills needed.

Available from the editor toolbar's "Hire Designer" menu, and offered proactively (once per session, and only inside a Brand Maker product) shortly after you start customizing. Fill in your name, email, and an optional note about what you need, and it's logged as a request tied to your current logo for the team to follow up on by email.

This creates a request for a human follow-up by email — there's no in-app chat, live quote, or delivery mechanism yet.

Premium & Pricing

What premium unlocks, and how packages are presented on the Upgrade page.

Upgrade page

Coming soon

Plan cards with pricing, features, and a featured/highlighted option.

Reachable from the "★ Upgrade to Premium" link shown throughout the app to non-premium accounts. Shows every available plan as a card — price, billing period, a feature checklist, and an optional highlighted "featured" plan — all defined by admins (see Admin Tools below), not hardcoded. The main premium benefit live in the app today is watermark-free Photo Mockup downloads; other plan features are configurable descriptions an admin sets per package.

Checkout isn't wired up to real billing yet — choosing a plan currently just shows a "coming soon" message rather than starting a real purchase. This is genuinely not launched yet, not a bug.

Admin Tools

Visible only to BMS admin accounts (SuperAdmin / AdminUser roles) — everyday users never see these pages.

Packages & Pricing

Admin only

Define exactly what customers see on the Upgrade page.

Full CRUD over pricing packages: name, description, price, currency, billing period, an optional badge ("Most popular") and button label, active/featured toggles, and which features (from a shared feature list) each plan includes — plus free-text bullet points for anything not covered by a toggle. Reorder plans with up/down controls; the Upgrade page reflects changes immediately.

Photo Mockups management

Admin only

Upload and place the real product photos end users composite logos onto.

Admins upload the source product photography (currently apparel/caps, mugs, and tote bags) that powers the end-user Photo Mockups tool. Each photo gets a label, an active/inactive toggle, and an "is free" flag that overrides watermark settings for that specific photo. A quad placement editor lets an admin drag the four corners of the print area directly on the photo, defining exactly how a logo perspective-warps onto it. An on-device background removal tool (runs locally in the browser via MediaPipe — no photo is uploaded elsewhere for this step) helps isolate a product from its background before placement. Watermark rules are configurable at three levels: a global default, a per-category override, and the per-photo "free" flag, checked in that order.

Still stuck on something? Use "Hire Designer" from any editor to reach a real person.
